BMW is testing at Nurburgring the new BMW Z5, which will be offered as a roadster with a soft top fabric roof. The car is expected to be presented at the end of 2017 or more likely in early 2018 and it will be the result of the cooperation of BMW and Toyota.
It will be available with a 2.0-liter turbo engine and a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine. For now there are no reports of an exclusive M model, however rumors say that the Z5 will also be available with a hybrid system, with the four-wheel drive system being offered in the additional equipment.
Both the BMW Z5 and the new Toyota Supra will be manufactured in the same factory in Austria, but will have different chassis codes.
