Range Rover is testing these days, at Nurburgring a heavily camouflaged prototype of the Range Rover Sport Coupe, that will be the competitor of the BMW X6 and the Mercedes GLE Coupe.
The car, is the fourth addition to the range of models of Range Rover and it is based on the Jaguar F-Pace. It is expected to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show next March and it will go on sale after mid-2017.
The four-door coupe SUV model will have a length of 4.7 meters and it will be located between the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport. Mechanically it will be available with 2-liter four-cylinder and 3-liter inline six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, while at the top of the range there will be the SVR version.
According to reports the new model will also be offered in a purely electric version, that will be equipped with the same electric powertrain as the Jaguar F-Pace EV, having an autonomy of over 450 kilometers.
A hybrid version will also be available and most likely it will consist of a 3-liter SVD6 diesel engine, an electric motor and a small set of batteries.
