Opel will present at the Frankfurt auto show the racing version of the new Astra, called Astra TCR. The TCR series was launched in 2015 and it includes national, European and the TCR International world championship. All the championships share the same technical regulations and thus a TCR car, can be used worldwide without the need for modifications.
The car will be equipped with a 2 liter turbo engine producing 330 hp with 410 Nm of torque, while it is currently being developed and the technical specifications will be announced at a later stage, with its tests to begin in October.
