The Technical University of Munich (TUM) presented the Visio.M, an electric, affordable, sporty and safe car as they describe. It is equipped with an electric motor of 15 kW (20 hp) powered by a lithium-ion battery of 13,5 kWh.
Despite the 20 hp, the car has a top speed of 120 km/h and can travel 160 km with a full charge of the battery, which takes 3-4 hours to fill completely with a simple charger of 230V.
The car weighs only 450 kilos without the batteries, with the engineers to make use of CFRP and other lightweight materials, such as polycarbonate windows. Inside there is a digital dashboard, steering wheel and adjustable screen for the infotainment system.
