Oettinger presented the Volkswagen Golf 500R, which is described as “super sports car”. The car features an aggressive body kit that has new bumpers, new fenders, a new bonnet, new side skirts and 20 inch forged alloy wheels with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires.
The 2.5 liter TFSI engine of the car has been equipped with a new turbo, forged pistons, new exhaust and it has a reprogrammed ECU. The result of all this, is 518 hp at 6,100 rpm and 680 Nm of torque at 3,600 rpm. The engine is combined with a six-speed, manual gearbox and an all-wheel drive system.
The car also features an adjustable coilover suspension from KW, while the brakes have been upgraded with 380 mm discs and 6-piston calipers.
The car can accelerate to 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.4 seconds, while its top speed is over 300 km/h. The car will pass in a limited production, while Oettinger is preparing a Golf with 750 hp.
