Volkswagen Motorsport presented a new racing car, based on the 7th generation of the Golf. Although its purpose is to evaluate the existence of the racing program, the company Liqui Moly Team Engstler will use two of them in the eighth round of the Touringcar Racer International Series (TCR) on the track of Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.
The car will be equipped with a 2 liter turbo four-cylinder engine, producing 330 hp and 410 Nm of torque, combined with a DSG gearbox.
It features a new aerodynamic body kit, which consists of large air intakes, a big spoiler and a diffuser. The car also has 18 inch racing wheels, while its interior has a roll cage, a racing seat and a digital dashboard.
