Volkswagen presented the Touran 2015. The third generation of the car features many of the styling cues of the Golf, the lines on its design are more sharp and the general shape have several vertical surfaces.
The new Touran has grown by 12 cm in length, providing a more spacious interior, for both the 5-seater and 7-seater vehicle configuration. The car is based on the known MQB platform, which means that, despite the larger dimensions, it has lost 62 kilos of total weight, in comparison with the outgoing model.
The interior features a big screen for the information and entertainment system, which supports the Android Auto and Apple Car Play. In terms of safety systems, the car has adaptive cruise control, automatic braking assist post-conflict, preventive protection of passengers pre-conflict and any more.
The car will be available with petrol engines, among which will be a 1.4 liter TSI with 150 hp, while in terms of diesel engines, there will be a 1.6 liter TDI with 110 hp and a 2.0 liter TDI with 190 hp.
The Volkswagen Touran 2015, after its debut in Geneva will be available for ordering from the summer of this year, with deliveries expected in the second half of the year.
