Volkswagen at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover presented the Tristar, a prototype based on the Transporter, that was built to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Syncro concept.

The prototype off-road features LED daytime running lights, increased ground clearance by 30 mm, 17 inch wheels, off-road tires and a winch. Inside there are leather seats, metallic decorations, a tablet, swivel seats and an espresso making machine.

The car is equipped with a 2.0 liter TDI with 204 hp and 450 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed DSG gearbox that sends the power to all four wheels. The 0-100 km/h comes in 10 seconds, with a top speed reaching 185 km/h.
