Volvo presented at Detroit the Volvo Concept XC Coupe. The new concept is the second of the three prototypes that the Swedish company will present with its new design style. The car shows the new design philosophy which will be followed by Volvo, having much in common with that of the Volvo Concept Coupé.
It is the creation of Thomas Ingenlath and it is constructed on the new SPA architecture, the car basically shows us what will be the design of the next XC Cross Country and other future models of Volvo. The first model based on it will be the new XC90, which will be unveiled in late 2014 .
It features LED lights , double tailpipes and a lower grille in comparison to the typical grill of the Swedish company. For the interior there is little information, only that it can carry 4 passengers.
It is equipped with a variety of systems among which there is a system called Intellisafe, a security system based on cameras, scanning constantly the way it has the ability to brake the vehicle itself. Performance figures have not been announced, the only thing we know is that the car will use high-strength steel and aluminum parts.
