MINI in Detroit presented the John Cooper Works Concept. The prototype JCW has an aggressive bodykit and a new design 18 inch alloy wheels. It has countless vents at the front and a black grille, at the rear of car the centrally positioned twin exhaust tailpipes and the diffuser stand out .
The roof ends in a small spoiler and several parts of the body are designed to direct the air where it needs to go and to improve the aerodynamic balance of the vehicle at high speeds .
More information are not available but rumours say that under the hood lies a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with horsepower that will exceed the 189 hp produced by the 2.0 -liter turbo of the old Cooper S.
The production version is expected to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March , with sales to begin sometime in 2014 .
