The Yamaha Exciter 150 was presented in Vietnam. The new super-moped , with unlikely context, single rear shock, and 15 hp, strongly reminds us of small sport motorcycle, but unfortunately for the moment it will only be available in the Asian market.
The beautiful Yamaha Exciter 150 comes to replace Exciter 135. The new Exciter 150 is equipped with a liquid-cooled engine of 150 cc, with a single overhead camshaft and cylinder with an abrasion DiASil resistant coating, while the rocker arms are mounted on bearings to further reduce friction.
To grow with ease the horsepower, Yamaha raised the displacement by 15 cc, with the new Exciter 150 to produce 15,4 hp at 8.500 rpm 14 Nm of torque and at 7.000 rpm. The bike weights 115 kilos (the same weight as the predecessor, Exciter 135).
The frame is enhanced for greater rigidity, the wheelbase is longer than the 135, and now is at 1290 mm. The rear lights are LED, the instruments are also carefully designed, combining analogue display for the tachometer and digital display for the speedometer, fuel gauge, gear indicator of speed (note that the transmission is 5 speed), partial odometer, etc. The brake disk diameter is 245 mm at the front, while the rear tire is wider measuring 120/70-17.
The colors that the bike is available are white-blue for the Special edition Exciter GP 150, and red-black, dark red-orange, and yellow-black for the “simple” version. The price of Exciter 150 in Vietnam was announced at 44,990 Vietnamese Dong.
