The Porsche 908 was one of the famous cars that the company was using in many races. It was created under the supervision of Ferdiand Piëch and it was designed to win races like the Targa Florio and the Nürburgring.

Initially, the car was equipped with a 3 liter 8-cylinder air-cooled boxer engine producing 370 hp with 365 Nm of torque, that enabled it to have a top speed of 290 km/h. In later versions the atmospheric engine was replaced because of the new regulations and the car got a 2.1 liter turbocharged six-cylinder producing over 500 hp. A total of 13 racing cars were build and the one of the photos will go atauction in Goodwood on September 12.
