Porsche presented the new version of the Carrera GTS 911. The second generation version will be available from next month, and comes to complete the family of “Gran Turismo Sport” models, after the Boxster GTS, Cayman GTS and Panamera GTS.
The 911 GTS will be available in both convertible and coupe version, in two-wheel or four-wheel drive option. Mechanically, the engine remains the flat six-cylinder 3.8 liter of the Carrera S, which for the Carrera GTS delivers 430 hp, an increase of 30 hp. It is combined with the Sport Chrono package, which features the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system, that lowers the cars by 10 mm.
With the PDK dual-clutch gearbox the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds (4.2 seconds for the convertible), while the top speed ranges from 300 up to 306 km/h.
Aesthetically the GTS version stand out from its wider body kit of the 911 Carrera 4. It features standard 20 inch alloy wheels with a single central bolt, that are painted in a special black matte color. Also it has darkened headlights, new front bumper, while the exhaust tailpipes are painted in black chrome color. Finally, the interior features Alcantara upholstery.
