Acura presented at the Los Angeles auto show the renewed ILX, which will be available on American dealerships from the beginning of next year.
The facelift model has a number of styling upgrades, which are derived from the new TLX, such as a new more aggressive front bumper that house bigger air intakes and more prominent fog lamps, the entry-level sedan has also, Jewel-Eye LED lights and a new grille. Also the rear lights are new and there are new wheel designs. The A-Spec package (which is optional) features a spoiler, 18 inch wheels and suede upholstery.
The interior features new soundproof materials, new navigation system and it can be equipped with the AcuraWatch package, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control,Lane Keeping Assist system , the Road Departure Mitigation system and Collision Mitigation Braking.
Mechanically the 2016 Acura ILX is available with an atmospheric 2 liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 201 hp with 243 Nm, an increase of 51 hp and 54 Nm of torque and it will be combined with a new 8 speed double clutch gearbox.
