Acura unveiled the ARX-05, their new racing car which will participate next year in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. The ARX-05 is designed by Acura in collaboration with the Team Penske.
It is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine that is based on the 3.5-liter V6 of the MDX, TLX and RLX. More technical details were not provided by the company, with the debut of the racing car to be in January of 2018 in the 24 hours of Daytona endurance race. Its drivers will be Juan Pablo Montoya, Dane Cameron and the three-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves.
