The new Audi Q5 has a length of 4.66 meters, a width of 1.89 meters and a height of 1.66 meters. This increase in size, has made the cabin slightly more spacious and the capacity of the trunk is up to 10 liters more, specifically it ranges from 550 to 610 liters, depending on the position of the rear seats and it can go up to 1,550 liters with the rear seats folded.

In Europe, the new Audi Q5 will be available with either a 2-liter TFSI petrol engine that delivers 252 hp, a 2-liter, four-cylinder TDI in three versions, with 150, 163 and 190 hp, a six-cylinder and 2-liter TDI producing 286 hp with 620 Nm of torque.

Depending on the engine chosen by the customer, the Q5 will be available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed S tronic, while the 3-liter diesel engine will be also available with an 8-speed tiptronic.

The Quattro all-wheel drive system is standard in every version except the diesel base version where the customer will have to pay extra for it. Also, as announced in a teaser video that was released by the company, the new Q5 will be available with an optional active air suspension that works like the Q7, in which the driver can choose between 5 different modes depending on road conditions.

The new Q5 will be assembled at the new plant of the company in Mexico, with its sales being scheduled to begin in early 2017 and its price in Germany starting at €45.100.
