Porsche presented the racing 911 GT3 Cup at the Paris auto show. The German company has managed to deliver over 3,000 racing GT3 Cup since 1998, that they started the program.

The new 911 GT3 Cup is equipped with an atmospheric 4.0-liter power unit, similar to the one of the GT3 RS. Its performance, however, is 485 hp, because of the limitations of the regulations. A series of improvements has been made, to increase efficiency, ensuring even better reliability and reduced maintenance costs.
In terms of aerodynamics, the car has more downforce, with its rear spoiler having a width of 184 centimeters. The body of the car makes use of both aluminum and steel with its weight reaching 1,200 kilos.
The new 911 GT3 Cup will be available for the racing season of 2017, initially only in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, which is a supporting race of Formula 1, as well as the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and America. In 2018 it will be available in the other leagues. The 911 GT3 Cup is already available for order at Porsche Motorsport in Weissach, with its price being set at €189,900, excluding VAT.
