Suzuki presented in Paris the new Ignis. The compact crossover of the Japanese company combines the typical stylish appearance, with the versatility of a genuine Suzuki, which undoubtedly carries all the features that have been established by its predecessors.

It is available in a total of 14 body colors, of which three (Flame Orange Pearl Metallic, Neon Blue Metallic and Helios Gold Pearl Metallic) are entirely new. The interior of the new Ignis, has a modern design and fresh color combinations, with the car’s luggage space reaching 267 liters. The Ignis is provided with a Smartphone Linkage Display Audio system (SLDA) that allows connection to phones via Bluetooth or USB cable, while its equipment includes a sound system, a rear view camera and a navigation system.

It is driven by a 1.2-liter DUALJET petrol engine that yields 90 hp with 120 Nm of torque, available with a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The new Ignis will be offered in a 4 × 2 version, and 4 × 4 version that has the sophisticated ALLGRIP AUTO system that automatically transmits torque to the rear wheels when traction loss is detected.

In addition to the all-wheel drive system, the equipment of the new Ignis includes ESP, front, side and “curtain” type airbags and a series of additional security features, such as the Dual Camera Brake Support system (DCBS) that makes the car automatically brake if an obstacle is detected and the lane change Warning system, which alerts the driver in case of unwanted lane change or yaw of the car. Sales of the new Ignis will start in Europe in January of 2017.
