Kia presented the new generation of the Picanto. The car has LED daytime running lights, many curves and a beautiful design. It will be offered exclusively in a 5-door hatchback version and in the photos that the company released, we see the GT Line version.
It has a 15 mm longer wheelbase that pushes the wheels closer to the edges, something that creates a more sporty look. The new model has the same length as the current generation, but because of the larger wheelbase, it offers more space inside.
Its interior features a three-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel, aluminium decorations, a big touch screen in the center console that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a smaller screen in the instrument panel.
Mechanically it is expected to be available with the same engines of the Hyundai i10, among which will be a three-cylinder 1.0-liter turbo engine producing 120 hp and also atmospheric engines that will be combined with mechanical and automatic transmissions. Sales of the new Kia Picanto will start at the end of the third quarter, with the official presentation of the car to take place at Geneva in March.
