Franciscus van Meel, the new head of the M section of BMW, said that BMW is considering a Spyder version of i8, that has not gotten yet the green light.
The car will be equipped with a new 4-cylinder 2 liter engine producing over 300 hp, which together with the electric motor will produce a total power close to 450 hp. The weight of the car will remain the same, with the rear seats to be removed.
