Nissan presented the renewed Altima, which has significant changes, compared to the current model. The best-seller vehicle of the Japanese company in US, has new bumpers, a new grille, new lights, while the bonnet and fenders have more aggressive edges.
The rear of the car features a new bumper, new finish on the cover of the luggage compartment and larger lights. Finally there are new designs for its aluminum wheels measuring 17 and 18 inches, while the car is also available with new colors.
Nissan says that the Altima is 10% more aerodynamic, with its drag coefficient being improved and from 0.29 Cd to 0.26 Cd. This is done by adding an active grille, a new floor and a new aerodynamic design for the windscreen.
The interior of the car features a redesigned center console, which houses a screen of 5 or 7 inches for the Nissan Connect infotainment system. Also, the front seats have a new design, while the car has also a new steering wheel.
It is equipped with a 2.5 liter petrol engine which delivers 182 hp with 244 Nm of torque. The top version of the model is equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 engine producing 270 hp with 340 Nm of torque. Regardless of the engine, the new Altima will be combined with an Xtronic CVT transmission.
