Alfa Romeo presented the Giulia QV at the Frankfurt auto show, but the basic versions of the new Italian sedan will be presented at Geneva in March of 2016. The simple Giulia will have a simpler design, compared to the QV, with its sales to start in the autumn of 2016. The Giulia will be available with four-cylinder and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, a rear wheel drive system and manual and automatic transmissions.
According to the CEO of Alfa Romeo Harald Wester, the Giulia will be differentiated than its competitors:
The premium automakers offer the same things. They are identical. If we exaggerate, we could say that they are boring. The new Alfa puts the driver in focus. This means that the driver is in the heart of the brand.
Alfa Romeo is preparing a total of 8 new models by 2018 and they have a goal to sell 400,000 cars annually, until that year.
