Mercedes-AMG presented the S65 Cabriolet, which is equipped with a 6 liter V12 twin-turbo engine producing 630 hp with 1.000 Nm of torque, that enables it to do the 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, with its top speed limited to 250 km/h, while with the optional AMG Driver’s package the top speed increases and it reaches 300 km/h.
The engine is combined with a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with a Start/Stop system, while the car also features the Magic Body Control sports suspension. The S65 AMG Cabriolet has an average fuel consumption of 12 liters/100 km and it emits 272 g/km of CO2.
Stylistically it has small changes compared to the S63 AMG. It features a new front bumper, new multi spoke 20 inch wheels with tires sized 255/40 front and 285/35 rear and gold brake calipers. Sales of the car will start in Germany from April of 2016.
