The Andy Russell Tharg is not like any other “simple” streetfighter motorcycle and that is why it is equipped with a 2 liter Ford Granada engine. The bike was built by an English enthusiast called Andy Russel.
Around the motor there is a chassis built with pipes and steel plates, with parts recovered also from other frames of motorcycles and a traditional front end, covered by fairings from the fork tubes to give the bike a streetfighter look. The transmission of the Tharg is consisted of a single-speed gearbox.
The swingarm was constructed by cutting and widening a steel swingarm and above by constructing a robust reinforcement truss on which two shock absorbers are mounted at an angle that make a curious conventional suspension but with two side cushions.
The bike even though it is constructed with a zero budget and scrap parts taken from other motorcycles it look absolutely amazing.
