Buick presented the Riviera Concept at the Shanghai motor show. It wa designed by the design GM’s section of Shanghai and PATAC (Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center).

It features a sleek design that draws influences from the “dynamic nature of water”. The main feature is the steeply raked windscreen, the gullwing doors and the accentuated fenders. Buick states that the grille and the lights will be the hallmark of future models.

Photos of the interior have not been released by Buick, but it is rumored that it will feature wood surfaces, aluminum decorations suede fabrics and am infotainment systems with 4G LTE for quick navigation to the internet.

The engine of the car will be a plug-in hybrid engine with batteries which can charge either through simple household socket or via a wireless charger.

Finally, in terms of safety, the Riviera has a security system consisting of 10 high definition cameras and 18 sensors so that it warns the driver of oncoming obstacles. It is also equipped with active cruise control, night vision systems and crossover alert system.
