Citroen presented officialy the C4 Cactus.The Cactus is 4.16 meters long, 1.73 meters wide and 1.48 meters high and it has a wheelbase of 2.6 meters, the same as the one of the C4.
Its design is characterized by the simple surfaces and the flowing lines and the Airbumps which are made of a flexible material that has air pockets that have the capacity to absorb minor impacts.
The interior of the Citroen C4 Cactus is spacious, this is achieved by the help of an instrument panel with horizontal lines that helps, the removal of front passenger airbag, that has been transported to the roof and the controls that have been replaced by a 7 icnh touch screen (standard on all versions).The luggage space reaches at 358 liters.
The C4 Cactus is 200 kilos lighter than the C4. It weighs just 965 kilos. It will be available with the latest generation of small engines (petrol and diesel PureTech BlueHDi) with CO2 emissions that will not exceed 100 g/km and consumption in case of the diesel engines, will be limited to 3.1 liters per 100 km. Emission of CO2 for the diesel engines will be 82 g/km. According to Citroen, the C4 Cactus has 20 % lower cost of ownership “in relation to a reference of its category”.
The standard equippment for the Citroen C4 Cactus includes a 7-inch screen, an automatic climate control, an audio system with wireless connectivity to devices, a navigation system, a rearview camera, Park Assist, cruise control and pop-up rear windows. The C4 Cactus will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show with sales to begin later this year.
