Opel Presented officially the Adam R2 at Geneva. The Adam R2 uses the 1.6 ECOTEC 16V engine with variable camshaft timing that delivers 185 hp and maximum torque of 190 Nm.. The power is transferred via a serial Sadev five speed transmission and a limited slip differential with multi plate clutch engagement. The set-up chassis with regulations for asphalt and dirt, ensures maximum traction and sporty handling. Deceleration is provided with excellent braking system with a hydraulic ” fly-off ” brake, 4-Track Brembo front calipers and brake pressure control for the rear axle.

The R2 is based on the Adam Cup variant.From the 2013 season, up to 40 ADAM Cup cars will run in single races in Germany and France. In the German ADAC Opel Rallye Cup, the winner of a special ranking “Rallye Junior” (for drivers aged up to 27) will open advance in the R2 category, with special support for the upcoming season by Opel and ADAC.
