This is the much awaited new Range Rover Sport which will be presented in the exhibition in New York on March 26. The photo was leaked on the internet today. The company has already prepared a special microsite, for the new car.
It weighs almost 300 kg less than the current model (entry-level version to weigh 2,160 kg). It will borrow design elements from the Evoque, it will have a spoiler, a sloping roofline and subtle spotlights.The entry-level version will be equipped with the new LR-TDV6 3.0 liter V6 turbodiesel engine with 255 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Followed by the LR-SDV8 4.4 liter Diesel with 335 hp and 700 Nm of torque. At the top of the range there will be the 5.0-liter LR-V8 petrol engine with 375 hp and 510 Nm of torque, while there are also rumors of a turbo version with 500 hp and 625 Nm of torque. In UK it will go on sale in late 2013 with an initial vaprice close to £ 55.000 ($82.600).
Land Rover will also be producing a new car model with the help of Tata, that will be sold in the markets of India and China, and will be positioned below the Freelander .
