AVL presented a tuned Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV that delivers 350 hp. The car features a new twin-charging system that combines the traditional turbo engine with an electric supercharger. Obviously, the electric supercharger operates at low speeds, eliminating the lag while the large turbo, works at high rpm for increased performance.
The electric supercharger operates thanks to an electric motor, which means no pulleys and consequently no losses. The company has already tested the system on other platforms and continues to evolve the technology.
