Audi presented the RS 3 Sportback facelift in Geneva, which is equipped with a 2.5-liter TFSI engine producing 400 hp at 5,850 rpm and 480 Nm of torque from 1,700 rpm to 5,850 rpm.
It is able to do the 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, with its top speed being electronically limited to 250 km/h.The engine is combined with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission, with the power passing to all the wheels, via the Quattro system, which is equipped with torque vectoring, that depending on the circumstances can send from 50% to 100% of the power to the rear axle.
Stylistically, the revamped second generation of the RS3 has a new body kit with wider fenders and a new front bumper that has large air intakes. The car has also new LED lights, new side skirts, a discreet rear spoiler, a new rear bumper that integrates a diffuser and two oval exhaust tailpipes.
The interior of the new RS3 Sportback has subtle changes, which include a leather upholstery, sport seats, a multifunctional steering wheel covered in leather and Alcantara, a redesigned instrument panel, a leather gear lever, stainless steel pedals and Alcantara decorative elements on the doors.
Its optional equipment, includes RS bucket seats, with integrated side airbags and a carbon back, that reduces their total weight by 7 kg, compared to the normal seats. There is also a digital virtual cockpit instrument panel with a 12.3-inch screen, the MMI Infotainment system with internet connectivity via LTE network and also a 705 Watt Bang & Olufsen sound system.
The car features many security systems, among which we find the Lane Assist, Active Pre-Sense Front that includes pedestrian protection and also a Traffic Jam Assist that in substance, is a system of “semi-autonomous driving” through the city.
