Subaru presented the new generation of the XV. The model is constructed on the new Subaru Global Platform that is 70% more rigid and features a fresh design, adopting the Dynamic x Solid design philosophy of the Japanese company.
The model is 5 mm lower than the one that it replaces, with its distance from the ground to remain at 220 mm. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter boxer engine that has redesigned parts. It is lighter, stronger and it consumes less fuel. It produces 150 hp with 196 Nm of torque and it is combined with a new seven speed CVT gearbox.
The power of the engine, is transferred to all four wheels via the Symmetrical system all-wheel drive that features the X-Mode, a mode that improves performance of driving on bad roads. The car’s interior has an 8-inch touchscreen, new decorations and a newly designed steering wheel.
Subaru equips the car with many security systems, such as the EyeSight, an automatic braking system, active cruise control and a lane change notification system.
