Bentley unveiled the new Continental Supersports, which is the strongest and fastest Bentley ever built. The British company claims that the new Continental Supersports is also the fastest and most powerful 4-seater car on the planet.
It is equipped with a 6.0-liter W12 engine producing 710 hp with 1,017 Nm of torque. The car weighs 2,280 kg and it is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, for the coupe version, and 3.9 seconds, for the convertible, with its top speed reaching 335 km/h, regardless of the version.
To reach these performance figures, the company’s engineers mounted entirely new double turbos, increased their pressure, they redesigned the intercoolers, while they also strengthened several of the internal parts. The car stands on 21-inch forged wheels, that reducing the non-suspended weight by 20 kg. Optionally the company offers a titanium exhaust, which further reduces the weight by 5 kilos.
The power is transferred to all four wheels, with 60% of the torque to be sent to the rear axle. The car has a torque vectoring system that was placed for the first time in the GT3-R, giving it more flexibility and better cornering grip.
The Bentley Continental Supersports has an aerodynamic body kit, to create the necessary downforce, as well as for better cooling of the mechanical parts. It has new front and rear bumpers, with a front splitter and a rear diffuser, both from carbon, new side skirts, new vents in the bonnet, also from carbon and a big spoiler.
Its interior features high quality leather and Alcantara and metallic decorations, with Bentley to offer also carbon decorations.
