The Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 was produced in 200 units to get the homologation for the racing version of the car.
The 205 Turbo 16 was equipped with a turbo four-cylinder 1.8 liter engine that was placed in the center of the car and produced 200 hp with 255 Nm of torque. It weighted just 1,145 kilos and it was able to do the 0-100 in 6 seconds, while its top reached 230 km/h.
