The second 250 GTO that has built by Ferrari and the first that participated in races, is up for sale. The car participated in 27 races in its life, including the Le Mans Endurance race in 1962 and managed to finish 17 times on the podium. For the last 19 years it has been owned by a collector, who has used it in various historical races.
For the record, the car has a frame number 3387 GT and it was not always painted blue, since it was once painted in a red color. It is equipped with a 3.0-litre V12 engine designed by Gioacchino Colombo.
It is one of the 36 250 GTO that were built by Ferrari and currently the seller does not disclose its price, but seeing that it is the holy grail of collectible cars, the price will probably be around $50-55 million, since another 250 GTO was sold at an auction some years ago for $52 million.
