Ferrari has announced that they are recalling 814 cars. According to the documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ferrari has discovered that the side airbags in models such as the 458 Italia, Spider, Speciale, Speciale A, California T, FF, F12 Berlinetta and LaFerrari are installed at the wrong angle. This problem was detected during tests in the steering column of the 458 Italia.
Although the airbags are of Takata, the recall of Ferrari is not related to the known problem of the Japanese company. Also it is worth noting that there are no reported injuries or deaths due to this issue.
