Nissan delivered the first GT-R Nismo in the US. The car which is painted in black to make sharp contrast with the red accents, has been ordered by Matt McCulloh, co-founder of NAGTROC (North American GT-R Owners Club).
It is equipped with a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 600 hp with 652 Nm of torque, significantly improved from what the MY2014 version of the GT-R (550 hp with 627 Nm of torque). This increase of 50 hp came from the new exhaust, new air intake, larger turbo from the GT3 version, new fuel pump and reprogrammed ECU.
Nissan says that they can make the engine produce even more horsepower, but then there was a risk it could not sustain the gearbox. The track pack of the GT-R Nismo has made a time of 7: 08,679 in Nürburgring Nordschleife.
