Garen explains that the GT pays tribute to the heritage of the company’s models. Initially, the plan was to develop a single model for the road, but quickly Ford decided that they would return to racing with the new GT.

The production version of the car will differ slightly from the concept in terms of design, while it will be equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 twin-turbo EcoBoost engine producing over 700 hp, combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which sends the power to the rear wheels. The production of the car will take place in Canada and just 250 units will be built per year, with its price expected to be near to $400,000.
