The company has recently opened its research center in Silicon Valley to develop autonomous technology. The testing in California is the key to developing the project in a 10-year term. Ford has collaborated with Stanford University to develop algorithms to predict the actions of other drivers and the autonomous Fusion was the first vehicle to make a test drive in MCity (the campus of the University of Michigan) in Ann Arbor.
