Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) has finally revealed the limited-production-GT F. The special edition of the Ford Falcon, is an epilogue of FPV, after Ford having announced that it will close its plant in Australia in October 2016. Only 550 copies of the FPV GT F will be produced (500 for Australia and 50 for New Zealand ) but most of them have already sold out. This means that there are a few left and they cost 77,990 Australian dollars.

In contrast to the models of the 60s and 70s with which it shares the “351” logo, the GT F, is not driven by a V8 with a capacity of 351 cubic inches (5.7 liters). Under the hood there is a 5 liter supercharged V8 engine producing 477 hp (477 hp = 351 kW) and 570 Nm of torque. If conditions are favorable, then a overboost function that provides 15% extra power is available. The “conditions” refer to the temperature. If the weather is cold or normal, then the extra power is allways available. If the temperature rises too much, then the overboost is limited to 15 to 20 seconds. Also note that due to the programming of the ECU, the extra power is not available for the first gear.

The FPV GT F, rests on 19 inch alloy wheels with Dunlop tires measuring 274/35 while the adjustable suspension, also comes from the limited production, GT RSPEC.
