Hyundai presented the new Tucson, with the debut of the Korean crossover to be made at the Geneva motor show.
The design of the new Korean crossover is bold and borrows several design elements from the Santa Fe. It has the characteristic hexagonal grille, chrome details and thin light incorporating LED daytime lights, while its profile is more aggressive thanks to the sloping roofline.
The interior features upgraded quality materials, new equipment and a large touch screen. The optional equipment features heated and ventilated seats for the front passengers. The boot space is 513 liters.
The car is bigger, following an upward trend in length and width, with the height being smaller. It has a length of 4.475 mm, width of 1850 mm, height of 1,645 mm and wheelbase of 2670 mm.
It is available with an atmospheric 1.6 liter GDI engine producing 135 hp, which will be combined with a 6-speed manual transmission. The turbo version of the engine can produce 176 hp and it will be available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch. In terms of diesel, the Tucson will feature a 1.7 liter engine producing 117 hp, combined with a six-speed manual gearbox and a two-liter engine delivering 184 hp.
The power is passed either to the front or all wheels and the car features the Smart Parking Assist, the Autonomous Emergency Braking, the Rear Traffic Cross Alert, the Blind Spot Detection and the Speed Limit Information Function system, among others.
