The Citroën DS 6WR had made its debut in Beijing, now it is released on China’s roads and for the first time we see photos of the interior, which features leather trim and metallic foil decorations and a large screen in the center console.
The new French SUV will be sold exclusively in the Chinese market and even in some Asian countries, but not in Europe. It borrows many styling elements from the Wild Rubis Concept, which we saw last year, with the production model to be manufactured at the factory in Shenzhen.
The DS 6WR has a length of 4.55 meters, width of 1.86 meters, a height of 1.61 meters and a wheelbase that reaches 2.73 meters. The big crossover “combines power with finesse” and will share the same platform as the DS5 and the DS 5LS, which are already produced in the above factory.
The front looks like the DS 5LS, the bumper has plastic protectors on the bottom, plastic covers on the wheel arches and sills, with mirrors having a glossy black finish. There are also silver roof rails, a chrome bar running all along the bottom of doors, xenon light fixtures and LED daytime running lights.
It is equipped with a 1.6 liter e-THP turbo engine producing 160 hp and 240 Nm, while it will also be available with a more powerful THP 200 version of the same engine with 200 hp and 275 Nm of torque. Finally, in the future it may be offered with a naturally aspirated 1.8 liter engine producing 139 hp and 170 Nm of torque.
The power is transferred to the front wheels via the Grip Control , while it will be combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The initial value is set at 160.000 yuan, with the most expensive version costing 200,000 yuan.
