Jaguar presented the I-Pace Concept, that is going to make its official debut at the Los Angeles auto show. The production version of this concept will be the main competitor of the Tesla Model X, since it will be purely electric.

The I-Pace Concept has a length that reaches 4.68 meters, a width of 1.89 meters and a height of 1.56 meters. What is worth noting, is that the aerodynamic drag coefficient of the I-Pace Concept is 0.29.

Its interior is futuristic, it has a completely flat floor and hight quality materials. The I-Pace Concept offers ample space for the rear passengers, despite the fact that it belongs to the category of mid-size SUVs.

Jaguar I-Pace ConceptThe car is equipped with two electric motors, one in each axle, producing 200 hp each. Thus, the I-Pace Concept produces a total of 400 hp with 700 Nm of torque and it is able to accelerate to 96 km/h from a standstill in just 4 seconds, while thanks to its water cooled 90 kWh battery it has an autonomy in the NEDC test cycle that reaches 500 kilometers. The car’s battery can charge up to 80% in 90 minutes, using 50 kW DC chargers, while a full charge requires 2 hours.

The front suspension of the car consists of double wishbones, with the rear suspension being identical to that of the F-Pace and its weight distribution being nearly 50:50. The company will release the production version of the I-Pace Concept in about 18 months.
