Kia presented the slightly redesigned Rio, which will make its debut in three days in Paris. With the competition in the B category being more intense than ever, the Korean company has re styled the car to make it more appealing. The Rio facelift has new front and rear bumpers, a redesigned grille, new fog lights, three new wheel designs from 15-17 inches and two new exterior colors, the Digital Yellow and Urban Blue.
The interior features dashboard air vents with chrome contours, while the audio system in the center console is renewed, now having a digital signal (DAB digital radio) and a new generation entertainment system and navigation (AVN, audio-video navigation) that includes a 7-inch screen.
Mechanically the Rio facelift will be available with four engines from 75 to 109 hp with a manual five or six relation gearbox or an automatic four speed one. All engines will be (optionally) available with the second generation ISG start/stop system, better starter, new alternator and tires with low friction.
It will continue to be produced in Sohari, South Korea, and it is expected in European Kia delegations from the beginning of the next year.
