Lamborghini presented at its headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese the new Lamborghini GT3 Huracan, that will compete in the Blancpain Endurance Series 2015 championship which includes five events in Europe, including the historic 24 hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
The Huracan GT3 features a quick fastening system of the panels of the car body, as well as aerodynamic improvements thanks to the adjustable rear wing, diffuser at the front and rear and front air intakes. The car has been designed with particular attention paid to safety as evidenced by the seat with carbon shell.
The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 is equipped with a hybrid frame that consists of aluminum and carbon fiber, equipped with a roll-cage according to FIA standards. The chassis has been modified in the front to accommodate a high-efficiency central radiator for cooling the engine. The Huracan GT3 weighs 1,230 kilograms thanks to its composite body.
The Huracan GT3 is equipped with the V10 engine of the road version, combined with a three discs clutch and a 6-speed sequential gearbox. The brakes are six-cylinder front, with steel disc brakes measuring 380×34 mm and four-cylinder rear, with 355 x 32 mm in accordance with the FIA.
The car, has Calaza tires 315/680 front and 325/705 rear. As for the price the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 costs €369,000 Euros (excluding taxes).
