Lamborghini presented the Rear-Wheel Drive Huracan Spyder. According to the Italian company, the front and rear have been redesigned with the redesign not only having an aesthetic improvement purpose, but also helping the car’s aerodynamics, especially in the front.
The most important change, however, has to do with the soft, fabric roof that can open or close in as little as 17 seconds, even when the car is moving at 50 km/h. The car’s weight, compared to the coupe Huracan is 119 kilograms more, reaching 1,509 kg.
The car is equipped with a 5.2-liter V10 that produces 580 hp at 8,000 rpm with 540 Nm of torque at 6,500, with 75% of torque being available from 1,000 RPM. The engine is combined with the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione dual clutch automatic transmission, that enables the car to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.6 seconds and to have a top speed of 319 km/h.
It is worth noting that the electric steering of the Rear-Wheel Drive Huracan Spyder has acquired new settings. The new, rear-wheel drive convertible Lamborghini Huracan will be launched in January of 2017.
