Lotus presented the 2015 Evora 400, with the car being the “fastest and most powerful production Lotus in the history of the brand.” The model has a new front bumper with larger air intakes and LED daytime running lights, new rear bumper with diffuser and a new spoiler of “three elements”.

The car also features new mirrors and it stands on forged alloy wheels of 20 inches, with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

The interior features a new dashboard, a new center console and a new instrument panel. The car also has new seats, with the materials that are used being of high quality, while the wheel is made of wrought magnesium.

The car is equipped with a 3.5 liter supercharged V6 engine producing 400 hp and 410 Nm of torque, combined with an improved 6-speed, manual gearbox or optionally, with a 6-speed automatic. The 100 km/h from a standstill, is achieved in 4.2 seconds while the car’s top speed is 300 km/h. According to Lotus, the Evora 400 is six seconds faster than its predecessor at the circuit of Hethel.

The Evora 400 is based on a slightly redesigned version of the aluminum chassis of the simple Evora reducing the car’s weight by 22 kilos. The car also has new settings for the suspension and a limited slip differential (when equipped with the manual transmission).

Production of the Lotus Evora 400 will begin this summer and the first deliveries in Europe will be in August. The Evora 400 will be available in the US which, by the autumn as a MY2016 model.
