Maserati MC12 heads to auction

The Maserati MC12 is a very rare supercar, as the Italian company built only 55 cars, with only 50 of them being sold, of which 49 were painted in the classic white/blue color, which pay tribute to the racing team America Camoradi, that was racing with a Maserati Tipo Birdcage in the 60s.

This Maserati MC12 is the only one that was not painted in black, with the car going to auction in mid-August by Mecum Auctions.

The car is in an immaculate condition and it has traveled only 1,322 kilometers. The MC12, was based on the chassis of the Ferrari Enzo, but it was  longer length and wider and it featured a removable roof. It was equipped with a 6 liter atmospheric V12 engine producing 630 hp at 7,500 rpm and 652 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, that enabled it to do the 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, having a top speed of 330 km/hour.
