Mazda North America is recalling 190.102 CX-7 manufactured between February 14, 2006 and May 9, 2012 due to a problem, which is likely to result in loss of steering control.

The problem is that water can get into the point of the front suspension linked to other components. If the water is mixed with salt, the common point can be oxidized, resulting in loss of steering control. This problem occurs in areas with frequent snowfalls and frequent use of salt on the road.

So far, no injuries or accidents have been reported due to this problem. Mazda will give priority to cars sold in cold states of the US, with the rest to follow. The company will inform the owners and they should go to their local representatives, who will be responsible for changing the two front lower control arms, with the whole process being free.
