McLaren continues to slowly reveal details about the aerodynamics and the engine of the 720S, the new car of the Super Model Series, codenamed P14, that will make its debut at the Geneva auto show.
The car will be equipped with a new 4.0-liter V8 engine that will enable it to accelerate from 0-125 mph in 7.8 seconds and to do the quarter-mile in 10.3 seconds. Now the company has revealed that the car will be able to brake from 125 mph to 0, in just 4.6 seconds, after 117 meters, almost the same distance as the P1. Making the calculations, this means that the car completes the process of 0-125-0 mph in just 12.4 seconds.
The car will have beautiful wheels, which will be 19 inches at the front, with carbon-ceramic brakes, with a new lighter and more compact brake caliper on each wheel. Equally important are the tires of the new McLaren, with the company working closely with Pirelli to develop a special P Zero Corsa tire only for the car, which offers 6% more grip compared to the 650S.
