During the presentation of the 570S Coupe at the New York auto show, Joylon Nash, director of sales and marketing for McLaren, said that they are “categorically” denying any SUV in the range of McLaren.

He also said that “McLaren is a brand focused on high-performance sports cars. The promise made to our customers is that we will always offer sports cars that gift a breathtaking experience”.

When Mark Vinnels, head of product development at McLaren, was asked about a four-seater model, he replied saying: “We’ll see. This model has to be justified. I do not want a car with a longer wheelbase and that will compromise the handling”.
